Kayla Bjork

Kayla is a junior from Omaha, Nebraska studying Biology with an emphasis in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish. Outside of joining UAEMS in the Spring 2026 and becoming a Public Information Outreach Instructor, she is involved as a Supplemental Instructor for Chemistry, member of the sorority Pi Beta Phi, and volunteers with Hospice Care and Special Olympics. After graduation, her plans include becoming a paramedic to then attend medical school in hopes of becoming a pediatric emergency medicine Physician.

I have been able to build strong friendships and find my best friends within in the agency, with the station feeling like a “home away from home” every time I walk in. This agency has made me grow the most as a person in many ways, and has been an incredible opportunity as an undergraduate to save lives and prepare me for my future.”
