Standby Medical Services
Any time you have a group of people gathered for an event, show, or festival, the odds of a medical emergency increase. UAEMS can provide medical standby services for indoor or outdoor events of any size.
UAEMS standby teams are available within the University of Arizona service area, 24/7, 365 days a year. The level of care we provide depends on your needs as an event organizer. Whether you need a first aid tent, a single crew of two EMTs, or a full medical team, UAEMS can send trained medical professionals who are prepared to render aid in the event of an emergency.
In the past, UAEMS has provided standby services for special events such as the Tucson Festival of Books, Spring Fling, Homecoming Tailgate, College Convocations, and Commencement. If you would like to request our services, please fill out our standby form and a member of our staff will be in contact with you shortly. Once your request is received and the details are confirmed, you will receive a competitive price estimate for the services requested.
For events with an attendance of fewer than 5000 people, we do ask that you request our services at least seven days in advance of your event. For events with attendance greater than 5000 people, please contact us at least 14 days in advance.
