Maddie Balbarin

Maddie is a junior majoring in Physiology and Medical Sciences with an emphasis in Physiology and minoring in Biochemistry and EMS. Maddie is from Gilbert, Arizona and joined UAEMS in Spring 2025. Maddie is also involved in Arizona Ambassadors and the Phenotyping Core where she works on cardiovascular echo-analysis. In her free time, she enjoys reading, thrifting, weightlifting, and crafting.

In her own words, “I am so grateful for the opportunity to be in this agency. UAEMS has opened my eyes to the world of emergency medicine by allowing me to directly work with the UA community. This experience has been so life changing as I have the opportunity to work independently in the EMS setting and gain leadership experience at such a young age. I have gained much knowledge and many more relationships that I hope to care onto the future.”
