Navya Balaji

Navya Balaji is a senior at the University of Arizona pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Spanish.

Outside of UAEMS, Navya serves as a Resident Assistant, Supplemental Instruction Leader for General Chemistry, and student liaison for the Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest Chapter. A recipient of the UAEMS First Responder Scholarship, she is passionate about serving both the campus and Tucson communities through emergency medicine, public health education, and community outreach. She is actively involved in Alzheimer’s advocacy and outreach, helping organize educational programs and community events that connect students with older adults and families affected by dementia. Navya also participates in neuroscience research and volunteers with Tu Nidito, supporting children and families experiencing grief. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cleaning and spending time with friends and family.
