Nick Johnson is a Field Training Officer (FTO) with the University of Arizona Emergency Medical Services, where he plays an active role in developing the next generation of EMTs on campus. Nick is from Vail, Arizona and joined UAEMS in Spring of 2025.
In addition to his role as an FTO, Nick worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Banner–University Medical Center South, where he built his clinical experience in a fast-paced hospital environment. His combined field and hospital background allows him to bring a realistic approach to training, preparing new EMTs not only for campus calls but for future careers in medicine.
Nick is currently pursuing a degree in Physiology & Medical Sciences at the University of Arizona, with plans to attend medical school and ultimately work in emergency or pediatric medicine. Outside of classes and shifts, he enjoys playing basketball, staying active, wakeboarding/surfing, studying, hiking, and having a good time.
Nick is excited to continue serving the UA community and supporting new EMTs as they develop confidence, competence, and compassion in their practice
